Decorative Vases

A vase is rarely bought for flowers alone. Most of our customers are looking for one object that quietly holds a surface together — a mantelpiece, a console, the empty corner of a dining table — whether or not there is ever anything in it.

This is our full vase collection, gathered in one place: fluted stoneware, hand-blown smoked glass, hand-thrown terracotta and polished composite. Shapes are chosen to sit together, so pieces bought months apart still look like they belong on the same shelf.

Choosing a height

As a rule, the tallest stem should sit around one and a half times the height of the vase. Under 25cm suits bedside tables and dining tables; 30–45cm suits consoles, hearths and floor-level corners.

Choosing a neck

Narrow necks (6–8cm) hold a few stems upright without a frog. Wider openings (9cm and above) are better for loose, garden-style arrangements that you want to fall naturally.
